Addereth Contemporary Ballet offers a limited number of trainee and apprenticeships per year.
Apprentice positions are for dancers who have graduated college, have experience in the professional dance world, or have been a trainee with the company. Apprenticeships are the last step before becoming a member of Addereth. They take all of their classes with the professional company and perform/understudy Addereth repertoire. Dancers will be encouraged to continue exploring their individual aesthetic, developing their heart for ministry, and encouraged in their individual relationship with God.
Traineeships are available for students who have graduated high school who are looking to develop their artistry and technique. This program is a stepping stone toward the professional dance world. It offers dancers additional training to finish polishing off their technique while dancing with the professional company. Dancers will be encouraged to foster their individual relationship with God and there are regular check ins with the Artistic Director to ensure that they are reaching all of their goals whether professional or spiritual.
Trainees will split their training between personalized classes and working with the professional company. Their classes are during the day allowing them to have nights free to train more, teach, etc. During their time block, they will train in classical technique focused on expression of the upper body and clear technique. They will also get the opportunity to train in contemporary ballet technique and develop their individual artistic aesthetic. Trainee's will perform individually and with the company.
